ABOUT TRIPURA MEDICAL COLLEGE
The Tripura Medical College and Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital is situated at Hapania, West Tripura, which was once a small village and is about 7 KM away from Agartala. The area is now included under the Agartala Municipal Corporation. Initially, there was a State level Hospital here. Later, the State Government decided to establish a Medical College taking the said Hospital as Teaching Hospital and accordingly in the year 2005, on the approach of the State Government, the Global Educational Net (GENET) came forward and established a Medical College in PPP Model with intake capacity of 100 students in 1st year MBBS course with teaching hospital of 300 beds. The State Government provided GENET 25 acres of land and also allowed GENET to utilize existing State hospital as its teaching hospital.

Method of selection

  • Common Counseling will be conducted by a committee as constituted by the Government of Tripura, Health & Family Welfare Department.

Distribution of seats

Annual intake of our institution is 100 (one hundred) students per year as recognized by MCI. Accordingly, total no. of MBBS seat for the academic year 2022- 23 will be 100 and the seat distribution will be as follows:

  • Tripura State Domicile : 80
  • All India other than Tripura State Domicile : 20

Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate must qualify the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG)-2022 and also meet all the criteria as mentioned in NEET INFORMATION BULLETEIN (SESSION 2022-23) and GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION REGULATION of Medical Council of India for admission in 1st year MBBS course for the academic year 2022-23.
  • All admissions are subject to verification of the original certificates / documents produced by the candidates. Regarding the eligibility of any applicant, the decision of the Permanent Admission Committee constituted by the Medical College Authority as per the MCI guidelines shall be final.
  • All admissions are subject to medical fitness of the candidate. Admission will be denied to candidates if found medically unfit.
  • Age proof (Pass Certificate of the SSLC / Madhyamik Examination / Admit Card of Madhyamik Examination).
  • Copy of Aadhar Card.
  • Admit Card of NEET UG -2022
  • Mark sheet of NEET UG-2022
  • Mark sheet of the (10+2) H.S. or equivalent examination.
  • Migration certificate (where applicable)
  • Bond for discontinuation of course to be submitted within five days after admission. Format will be provided at the time of admission.
  • 3 (three) Colored Passport size photo of the candidate with date and name (taken only on or after 1-1-2022).
