MGM MEDICAL COLLEGE

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College, Indore (MGM Medical College) is one of the oldest and most prestigious government run medical colleges in India and the best in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It is the 15th oldest medical college in the country, established in 1948. MD and MS degrees were started in the instituition way back in 1953.[1] MGM Medical College, Indore had many pioneers in the field of Pediatrics, General Medicine, Surgery and subspecialities were started as early as 1950. MGM MC conducted the First All India Pediatrics Conference in 1955. A cardiac lab was constructed in 1962 which conducted open-heart surgeries for poor people. MGM Medical College is one of founder medical colleges associated with National Library of India and RHD registry under ICMR.

MGM Medical College offers two UG courses; MBBS and B.Sc. Para Medical Sciences along with PG Diploma, M.Sc., MD, MS, DM and M.CH in different specializations of medical sciences at the PG level.
The application process is carried out in both online and offline mode. For admission in B.Sc. and MBBS courses, applicants must have passed 10+2 in PCB or equivalent examination from any recognized board. Selection in B.Sc is done on the basis of the rank scored in MGM UG CET, while selection in MBBS is based on NEET UG 2018. For M.Sc. Medical Sciences, a B.Sc. degree in relevant subjects/ B.Sc. Nursing/ MBBS/ BDS or an equivalent degree from any recognized university/ institution is necessary. Admission in PG Diploma, MD and MS require an MBBS degree from any recognized Medical College. Selection in any of these courses is based on the score in NEET PG 2018. For DM & M.CH super-specialty courses, an MD or MS degree in related subjects is required to apply for admission. Admission in the super-specialty courses is done on the basis of NEET SS 2018. Ph.D. admission requires a post-graduate degree with minimum 55% marks in relevant disciplines. Admission in Ph.D. is done through qualification in the Ph.D. entrance examination conducted the university is mandatory to ensure admission in the course.
